Skillful use of fillers can be used to augment the cheeks, the temples and other areas around the eyes. There are many types and density of fillers. Each is best suited to certain areas of the face. Fillers can also be used to rejuvenate the hands. The correct filler, applied skillfully can last up to a year and beyond. Fillers are an excellent way to bring more youthful contours to the face and hand without the use of surgery.
Dr. Marshall Partington and Sarah Olson RN are highly skilled artists who enjoy the art of facial sculpturing and contouring. Both receive on-going continued education in the art of proper injection and placement of fillers. All of the injections are performed in our center under strict FDA regulations.
For your comfort we provide numerous choices such as ice, local anesthesia and products containing Lidocaine to minimize any discomfort and bruising. We also offer Arnica to aid in the reduction of bruising. At our center you have the choice of receiving your injections by either Dr. Partington or Sarah Olson. Either has an artistic approach and both take pride and care in facial rejuvenation.
Botox®
Prescription Botoxis FDA approved for the lines between the brows often referred to as ‘frown lines’ or ‘eleven’s’. In skilled hands, Botox can be used for a variety of concerns. Botox works by interrupting the signal sent to the muscle that causes it to contract. In simpler terms, it relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles. Botox can be used to rejuvenate the area around the eyes and the forehead. It can be used to elevate the lateral (outer) portion of the brow for a non-surgical brow lift. Botox can even be used sparingly and carefully in the lower face for lines around the mouth and lips.
Treatment for Botox is done here in our Kirkland clinic and generally takes 20 minutes. Your treatment may take up to 3-5 days for the full effect to take place and will last anywhere from 3 to 6 months. We have seen that it can last longer in patients that receive it consistently. Post procedure instructs you not to exercise for 24 hours.
There are several areas that we treat with BOTOX® Cosmetic:
- Frown lines.
- Crow's feet — Wrinkles on sides of eyes that are accentuated by smiling.
- Brow droop — BOTOX® Cosmetic can gently raise the brown to open up eyes and rejuvenate the whole face.
- Wrinkles around mouth — Also called "Smoker's wrinkles," these lines are accentuated by tightening the lips. BOTOX® Cosmetic will soften these lines and can also pull the drooping sides of mouth up to rejuvenate the mouth.
- Platysmal banding — Neck bands that are evident with aging can be dramatically softened with BOTOX® Cosmetic.
- Axillary hyperhidrosis — The condition that causes significant embarrassing sweating of the armpit area. This is a highly effective solution to this problem and is widely popular.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is approved by the FDA for frown lines and its other applications provide dramatic solutions for facial aging.
Dysport®
Prescription Dysport is an injection used to temporarily improve the look of your moderate to severe frown lines without changing the look of your whole face. The untreated facial muscles still work normally, allowing you to freely show facial expressions, such as smiling, in untreated areas.
Dysport is a formulation that has been shown to deliver temporary improvement in moderate to severe frown lines, even with repeat treatments. So, the effect of repeat treatment with Dysport may be comparable to your first use. Treatment with prescription Dysport can temporarily improve the look of your moderate to severe frown lines.

Juvéderm®
Juvéderm is a smooth and consistent gel made of hyaluronic acid — a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Juvéderm injectable gel is eased under the skin to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. It is a wonderful filler to reduce the depth of of your laugh line or "parentheses" (nasolabial folds — the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth).
Depending on your area of filler the injection process takes only about 20 minutes and is said to last up to a year. You can see immediate results and there is virtually no recovery time which makes for a happy you.

Restylane®
Restylane can be used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds or laugh lines).
Restylane can also be used in other moderate to severe facial wrinkles such as lipstick lines— the area just below the nose and above the upper lip; the corners of the mouth; and marionette lines—the area that extends downward from the corners of the mouth to the jaw line.
Restylane is the only FDA-approved dermal filler for lip enhancement in patients over 21 years, and is uniquely formulated to give your lips fullness and definition.
Perlane
Perlane is an injection that can get rid of wrinkles and enhances areas of your face immediately — including lips, superficial lines around the mouth, forehead lines, and smile lines. Perlane is a non-animal Hyaluronic Acid, manufactured by a unique method in the Q-Med Laboratories in Sweden.
Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body so it naturally dissipates into the body with time. All living organisms have Hyaluronic Acid in their bodies. In humans this is the substance that creates volume in ones face, giving it a healthy, young appearance. Perlane is the perfect filler for use in lips and laugh lines and lasts slightly longer than Restylane.
