A medium skin peel penetrates the top layer and the upper layer of the dermis, the middle layer of skin. It is effective in treating deeper wrinkles, acne scaring and sun damage. This chemical peel has medium down time ranging anywhere from 2 days to 1 week and can be done once every 3 months.
A deep chemical peel penetrates the lower layer of the dermis and effectively treats deep lines and wrinkles, scars and pigmentation. This chemical peel is the strongest and therefor has the longest amount of downtime ranging from 1 week to 1 month and can be done once every 6 months.
