BIOGRAPHY
Shawna-Akin-LMA Shawna Akin, LMAAt the close of fourteen-year international professional ballet career, Shawna pursued another aesthetic passion; clinical skin care. The same discipline that Shawna applied to dance is also applied to her daily focus on skin care and patient results. Rare is the person in this industry that can evaluate, educate and find a solution for the multiple concerns of skin. She takes enormous pride in taking care of our patients and works closely with them to achieve their skin care results.Shawna has extensive experience and knowledge as a medical aesthetician in plastic surgery and dermatology. She has practiced medical aesthetics in clinics, listed above, as well as, served as the Director of Aesthetic Research and Education for Calidora Skin Clinic, Inc, in the Seattle and Los Angeles areas.In 2010, Shawna was asked to serve as the U.S Director of Education for Danish cosmeceutical company, Beatue-Pacifique. She authored skin care continuing education materials for other well-known American cosmeceutical companies and serves as an educator and trainer. In February 2011, Shawna’s Face First facial was featured in Allure magazine.Her unique ability to constantly dedicate her time to continuing education and traveling extensively around the world, has enabled Shawna to offer multiple options for our patients’ skin care needs and concerns.
